Pro · the terminal
Everything a Chart Needs to Explain Itself
A charting terminal with a macro brain. Ten capabilities, one local engine, no monthly platform fee — €299 once, with the first twelve months of updates included.
Hand the research to it. The tenth capability is an analyst that uses the other nine for you: it watches the relationships, runs the studies, arms what the screen implies, and reports what it did — including the checks where nothing happened. Jump to it →
01 · MACRO OVERLAYS
24 shipped recipes, normalised onto your price axis
- Series: CPI (headline and core), Fed Funds, 2Y and 10Y yields, the 2s10s spread, M2, unemployment, ISM PMI, real yields and the dollar index — every one a three-line recipe pulled through your FRED key and cached on disk
- Scaling: normalised (0–1), z-score or dual-axis per overlay
- Alignment: monthly series are shifted to their release date, not their reference month, so you see the print where the market saw it
02 · EVENT MARKERS
FOMC, CPI prints and escalation spikes as vertical markers
- Scheduled: from the built-in central-bank and statistics calendar (Fed, ECB, BoE, BoJ, BLS, Eurostat)
- Derived: an ACLED escalation index crossing your threshold or a GDELT tone shock beyond two standard deviations becomes a marker automatically
- Base rate: hover a marker to see what the asset did in the following 5, 20 and 60 sessions — for this event and for every comparable one in your cache
03 · NEWS SENTIMENT
GDELT tone index by theme, not just a headline count
- Themes: INFLATION, CENTRAL_BANK, ENERGY, CONFLICT, CRYPTO — "how negatively is the press talking about inflation this week", plotted against gold or TIPS
- Coverage: GDELT indexes world news in 100+ languages every 15 minutes
- Your choice: raw GDELT is free and keyless but heavy (about 2 GB per day) — process it locally, or take our pre-computed indices via the €29 / month feed
04 · GEOPOLITICS
ACLED escalation index by region
- Source: ACLED records political violence and protest events worldwide with location, actors and fatalities
- Index: a weekly escalation index per region (MENA, Eastern Europe, Sahel, South China Sea, LatAm) weighted by event type and severity, 0–100
- Use: plot it on Brent, wheat or defence ETFs; set an alert when a region crosses 70; export it as a regime filter for your own strategy tests
05 · CORRELATION PANEL
Rolling correlation and lead / lag between price and every overlay
- Honest maths: computed on log returns versus overlay shocks (not levels, which would lie to you), over 30, 90 and 250 sessions
- Lead / lag: tests lags from −10 to +10 sessions and reports the strongest — "GDELT tone leads BTC by 3 sessions, r = 0.41"
- Always on: sits below every chart and fills in as soon as one overlay is active
06 · POSITIONING
CFTC Commitments of Traders, as a z-score
- Markets: net speculative positioning for gold, crude, the S&P e-mini, the euro, 10-year notes and bitcoin futures — 15 in total
- Scale: pulled weekly from the CFTC and expressed as a 3-year z-score, with ±2σ marked
- Why: extreme positioning is one of the few things that reliably changes the odds of a breakout failing
07 · EVENT STUDIES
Base rates for any event, on any asset in your cache
- Define: pick an event definition and an asset
- Compute: the median, quartile and worst path over the following 60 sessions across every historical instance, with a cooldown so one crisis is not counted five times
- Keep: export the table, or save the study as a chart annotation so future markers carry the base rate with them
08 · EXPORT & IMPORT
Export overlays as PNG, CSV or Parquet — and bring your own
- SNAP: copies the chart as a PNG with the recipe list embedded in its metadata, so a screenshot can always be rebuilt
- Series:
regimelens series exportwrites any overlay as CSV or Parquet, release-aligned and already transformed, for a spreadsheet, a notebook or the strategy tester you already use - The other way: CSV / Parquet files and REST or WebSocket feeds plot as overlays via Add own data
09 · THE ANALYST
An analyst in every view, and a path where you configure nothing
- In every view, in the same place: a spark in each panel header opens the analyst already scoped to that surface, with three to five actions written for it — which link is real and does it survive a wider window on the correlation matrix; when has it failed and is the sample big enough to mean anything on the event study; which of these is noise on the armed conditions
- It acts, it does not describe: every reply ends with a line saying what it just did — "Read the 252 sessions in view off the same arrays the canvas draws. Nothing on the chart moved." It never invents a figure: every number comes from the same functions the panels use, so the analyst and the screen cannot disagree
- Zero-input onboarding:
START <GO>asks "What are you here to do?" and five concrete answers set the instrument, the overlays, the correlation window and the watch. It then says what it chose, why, and what the choice costs — a 250-session window will not notice a regime change for months; a calendar tells you what is scheduled, not what is priced
median +20d +0.3 %went that way 57 %furthest against −8.4 %26 of 61 went the other way
10 · THE STANDING DESK
State it once. It keeps working, and writes down what it did.
- One sentence, four options, no jargon: "Watch this market against inflation, liquidity and geo-risk, and tell me when the relationship changes" — or arm what the screen implies, or rebuild a briefing on a cadence, or all three. Each option prints what it costs before you pick it
- Transparent, not magic: every autonomous action lands in a scrollable log with what it did, why, and the number that caused it — "Armed CPI YoY above 3.2 % … it crossed 11 times in the ten-year sample, last on 05 Nov 2024." On the checks where nothing crossed, it writes that down too
- Stoppable, one click each: pause, resume, undo the last action, change the instruction, stand the desk down. Standing down leaves the log intact and anything it armed still armed, and it says so. Arming and watching run in the terminal; pushing a firing off the tab is what the feed is for
- STANDINGStanding instruction set: Watch the relationships, arm what this screen implies, and brief me on a cadence
- ARMEDArmed CPI YoY above 3.2 % — it reads 2.7 % now, so it is false
- NOTHINGNothing worth telling you about — checked 6 things, nothing crossed a threshold it holds
pause · resume · undo · change · stand down
